A Future Perspective on Facebook

Trends evolve rapidly in the social media world and we all know content is king. How are tech companies using “your content” to sell advertising? Without a doubt, Facebook leverages and controls your content to the max as they rake in billions. However, YouTube (Google) on the other hand helps content creators (you) benefit. In essence,  YouTube creates a partnership environment for content creators.

  1. I have noticed on our energy news and environment blog that the number of visitors using mobile devices just keeps increasing. In my experience, the integration of YouTube is friendlier on smart phones than Facebook.

    Facebook seems to be a bandwidth/memory hog fraught with too many annoying notices, updates, and controls WRT the content being displayed to the user. With the growing number of Andriod phones on the market, YouTube appears to have the edge.
